amlodipine besilate (5mg) for high blood pressure

The only bad thing about Amlodipine Accord is that the tablets are rough and they are difficult to swallow. So after I've taken one, I've got a sore throat.

lercanidipine hydrochloride (10mg) for high blood pressure

The effect was hardly noticeable at all. After taking this for 1 and a half months ended up in hospital - via an ambulance - because of the pain in my left chest, arm and exhaustion. Nothing was found in my heart x-ray or blood. Wasn't given any advice about stopping with this medicine. 2 days later the same symptoms after taking the tablet! Protocol is to stop working and call 999. Every day??...

lisinopril dihydrate (10mg) for high blood pressure

Lisinopril 5 mg with 12.5 mg hydrochlorothiazide BP at the desired level. However, considerable lower back muscle pain, spreading into buttocks, thighs and calves. I have had high blood pressure and swollen ankles for 25 years. I've had all sorts of investigations and tests including cardiology, been there 4 times, with different results and stories and no conclusions made. I've recently started taking Lisinopril 5 mg per day for high blood pressure and swollen ankles (oedema), prescribed by the internist. Hasn't really helped much, blood pressure still h...

irbesartan (75mg) for high blood pressure

Blood pressure has sunk to 130/79 on 75 mg. In the beginning my head and body were so itchy it was not pleasant. But that has passed. However, I have got a lot of problems with a nasty cough that just won't go away. I had an ACE inhibitor before and had a cough with that too. Really irritating.

nebivolol hydrochloride (5mg) for high blood pressure

Dizziness and nausea, clearly because of high blood pressure according to my GP. GP prescribed this medicine for me, to start off with half a tablet in the mornings. Took it about half 6 = 11 o' clock "the hammer fell", tiredness until I finally went to bed. In 4 weeks I put on 4.5 kg, which the GP says isn't possible. Had blood tests which showed that I'm as fit as a fiddle, so why do I need t...

Enalapril

enalapril maleate (5mg) for high blood pressure

This medicine affected me really quickly (after only a couple of hours) and now after 1 month's use my blood pressure has dropped from 170/110 to 120/88, the under pressure is still a little on the high side. The real problem is that this medicine doesn't really last for 24 hours because when I wake up my blood pressure is back to 140/100, so now I'm going to break the 5 mg tablet in half and t...

Side effects are annoying (no sexual desires, muscle pain when walking/running) but it helps. I make sure that my BMI is okay, I'm only on 25 mg now but the side effects are the same. Ran a half marathon on 2015. Sometimes now I can't even manage 2 km without the muscle cramps.

I had too high a BP (I'm 64) and first of all I was prescribed hydrochlorothioazide which didn't help. Then I had Amlodopine as well but I only managed that for one day because my heart rate increased dramatically and my BP rose as well so I stopped it straight away. doxazosin mesilate (1mg) for high blood pressure

Started with 4mg. The first tablet almost knocked me out an hour later and without taking any further tablets my pulse was elevated for 2 days. Resumed taking 1mg per day (half of a 2mg tablet). Some lightheadness within a few hours but it did lower my BP with minimal side effects, although always with an elevated pulse. Over time (a few weeks) it had less impact on my BP & pulse -- effect see...

perindopril arginine (10mg) for high blood pressure

blood pressure was too high and my endocrinologist prescribed me Coversyl; after a few months I could no longer manage my daily 1 hour walk: nagging pain in my pelvis, my hips and my knees. The pain was getting worse and it was a stabbing pain overnight. I asked the GP about stopping with the Coversyl, that was a week ago and I now feel SO MUCH better!
