desogestrel (0,075mg) for acne / spots

So first couple days was fine didnt notice any side affects. After a few days passed suddenly I had an uncontrolable urge to cry at everything, get reeally angry over small things develped acne, put on weight, not from the actual pill itself doing that but it had increased my appetite making me binge eat. None of these where like me. I told my Dr i cannot handle extra hormones but apparently yo...

isotretinoin (30) for acne / spots

Now in my 3rd month of 30 mg per day. Had a massive outbreak after 1 month, no way could I leave my house. In month 2 my back was so much better! My face is now beginning to recover, despite the eczema on my arms and horrid dry lips (Vaseline: apply, apply, apply * really helps!) my skin has become so much softer! You need to stick with it, it's definitely worth it! Another tip: Bioderma acne c...

isotretinoin (20mg) for acne / spots

I've had two courses and both times have been very happy. Course there are side effects but in my eyes they're manageable. The first course was 8 years ago then after having 2 children, had another course. The result is super and if I need to take it again then I will without question.

isotretinoin (10mg) for acne / spots

I started on a course of Isotretonoin in January. At that point I had infected acne around my mouth which naturally made me really insecure. Tried everything the GP gave me but nothing helped. I started on 20 mg for 3 months and then went up to 30 mg until August. Had loads of side effects, my skin all over my body was dry, face and lips. Had lots of depressed episodes but I stuck with it. My f...

benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin phosphate (10/50mg/g) for acne / spots

I'd always had lovely clear skin until about a couple of months ago when I got a horrendous acne outbreak. I tried everything (salicylic acid, gentle skin care, benzoyl peroxide) but I ended up going back to the GP because it just seemed to be getting worse. She prescribed me Duac Acne gel. I've been using if for almost 2 weeks and the acne has pretty much gone!

isotretinoin (20mg) for acne / spots

Nothing helped against my acne. GP wanted to quit treatment. My dermatologist only gave me some antibiotics. After a search on the internet I found this and suggested a trial. I finished the treatment and the acne disappeared, but my skin looks horrible like the surface of the moon. Now a year on the acne is coming back and I don’t know if I’m going to repeat the treatment because it really mad...

isotretinoin (10mg) for acne / spots

I've been on isotretinoin for about 3 months now for severe acne on my back and sometimes on my face and to date I have only noticed it getting worse. The acne on my back have all turned into boils that are red/big/swollen. I'd love to be rid of my acne but this is seriously not nice any more. I really hope it starts to work soon!

isotretinoin (20mg) for acne / spots

I started on isotretinoin, usually roaccutane, on 25 April. since then I've kept a regular record of the changes, photos etc. I could see that my acne had genuinely halved over the course of 3 weeks. My dose has now been increased from 20 mg to 40 mg but I overheard that my liver values are on the high side so i'm not really sure if I want to be on the 40 mg but i'll do my best.

isotretinoin (40) for acne / spots

I took these pills for a period of 9 month in all and the side effects I had, dry skin, very dry lips and low back pain, were very annoying. The low back pain lasted for about three months and my skin gradually became less dry, but my lips remained incredibly dry. After the treatment ended, now three months ago, I didn’t have any pimples for about two months. They’ve been coming back over the l...

isotretinoin (20mg) for acne / spots

This is now my fifth month on these, started on 10 mg. I'm 20 years old and I've suffered with spots since I was 11. After having tried everything, including the pill, I went to a dermatologist. Dry lips to the max, sores in my nose, flaky skin around my eyes. Minimal effect on the acne and the dermatologist now wants me to move up to 30 mg and take a short course of prednisone too. The worst s...

isotretinoin (40mg) for acne / spots

I started taking my first course yesterday but since reading some of these reviews I'm starting to get a bit nervous and unsure about it all.. I have had acne since I was 11 (I'm now 17) and after trying so many different things I've finally ended up at the dermatologist. So my question is: does anyone have any tips for me for the moment? Really, seriously thanks ❤

isotretinoin (20mg) for acne / spots

This is now my third course, the acne on my cheeks and chin was horrendous. The dermatologist gave me 20 mg per day. Visible effect after just 1 month. Got dry lips that I had to moisturise 3 times a day. Also, dry nose and crusty, dry snot. It was really painful and cleaning it led to bleeding. But my spots have gone, just got small red marks. They disappear in the sun after about half a year....

isotretinoin (20mg) for acne / spots

I've been taking 40 mg a day for 3 months now and I haven't noticed any difference whatsoever, the doctor says that's totally normal but I think it's strange, does anyone know if this is normal and it will work eventually? The side effects are really noticeable, dry lips dry hair red face but still no result. :(

isotretinoin (20mg) for acne / spots

I've been using roaccutane for 3 months now. I get tired really easily and I've got chapped lips. Also lower libido and less self-confidence than before I started this course. Really horrible side effects but the worst thing is that the medicine isn't working. I'm now taking 60 mg a day and I've got to stay on it for another 3 months which I think is bad. Are there people who it hasn't worked f...

isotretinoin (20mg) for acne / spots

I really am very happy with how my acne has lessened. I'm getting compliments about how lovely my skin is. But… I'm now stopping after four months because the side-effects are too strong. I've got really bad insomnia, flickering in my eyes and above all really bad back pain radiating down to my legs. But now I'm hoping that the acne won't come back. In principle I had another three or four mont...

Hi, I've also been taking this the nearly 3 months. I've read everywhere that it takes time. The first month I had 40 mg, second month 60. And now my third month and at 80 mg!! At the end of February I'll be up to my maximum dose of 120 mg. I'm just wondering what brand you guys take? Because Roaccutane from Roche has been off the market since July. Am quite concerned that this cheap version th...

isotretinoin (20mg) for acne / spots

I have just started taking Isotretinoine, 20 mg a day. I've been on them for almost a week and the side effects started. It feels like my face is on fire and that everything's coming to the surface. And it's really hard to go to the toilet. And I've got really dry lips, but everyone's got that. I feel quite hazy/light-headed sometimes. I wonder if there is anyone else like this? I have been loo...
